Energy in Brazil - March auction will feature 598 new projects

On March 22, 2012, the auction "A-3" will be held for Brazilian government to the dispute of power purchase agreements (PPA), long-term.

598 new projects for power generation were accredited for this auction, of which 524 are wind projects. The government agency (ANEEL) established tariff ceilings for this auction, for R$ 112 / MWh for wind farms and R$ 82 / MWh for the expansion of hydroelectric plants.

Note: The entrepreneurs of this sector considered very low the values of these tariff ceilings, and believe that few projects will be credentialed , as has occurred in the last auction of generation.

Even in the period December 2005 to July 2011, participated in the restructuring of the engineering company "ECONTEP", accumulating the position of Chief Operating in the same, and commanding a workforce of over 1000 direct employees, to provide services to large customers in the Brazilian market, among which are: "PETROBRAS", "ELETROBRAS", "ELETRONUCLEAR“ and "BAHIAGÁS".

Before March 1994, participated directly in managing the development and expansion of the British consulting company "MACKENZIE HILL" in South America (Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires and Santiago), the restructuring of the consulting firm "MARKA PARTICIPAÇÕES“ (subsidiary of Banco Marka), and major engineering projects and developments (residential, commercial and industrial) that after enabled (technical, economic and financial) were implanted in Brazil and other countries.
