In the shadow of Brazilian Sun, the competition has already begun ...

RIO ALTO ENERGIA has a project ready and licensed of 50 MW of "Concentrated Solar Power", supplemented by Biomass generation, located in Coremas in the state of Paraiba, waiting for the first Solar Auction of the Brazilian Government in 2013.

This project was developed with a mix concept of generation, ie, produce Solar energy during the day and of Biomass during the night, and with a capacity factor greater than photovoltaics.

With this concept of generation, RIO ALTO intends to sell energy in the Government Auction for a price of approximately R$ 180 / MWh (US $ 95 / MWh), ie, well below the R$ 300 / MWh (US $ 158 / MWh) estimated for solar photovoltaics.

The total investment of this project will be for approximately R$ 400 million (US $ 210 million) and the earthworks of the land have already begun.

Congratulations to RIO ALTO, for this initiative ...
